Dari pihak Shelby pun menyatakan menyesal karena video yang dibagikan kepada publik tidak menggambarkan secara akurat performa SSC Tuatura pada 10 Oktober. Adapun perekaman proses tes performa tersebut ditangani Driven Studios, sekaligus bertugas merilisnya.
"Kami akan membagikannya segera setelah tersedia," tutur Shelby. Mobil hypercar SSC Tuatara melakukan tes performa sebanyak dua kali pada 10 Oktober 2020 di State Route 160, pinggiran Las Vegas, Amerika Serikat.
Pada pengujan pertama mobil ini mencatatkan 508,73 km/jam, sedangkan tes kedua SSC Tuatara meraih 532,93 km/jam. SSC menyatakan mereka telah menyelesaikan proses pengaturan rekor pada kecepatan yang dibuktikan. Mereka juga menyatakan memiliki semua dokumentasi yang relevan dari 15 sensor satelit, serta saksi independen.
